From Retail Floors to Roofing Ladders: Why I Built Ground Zero Academy

I Started in Retail
My first real taste of sales came standing under fluorescent lights in retail. I learned how to talk to people, how to position products, and how to smile through long hours on my feet. Retail taught me resilience and the power of communication, but it also showed me something bigger:
👉 If I wanted real freedom, I couldn’t stay where the paycheck was capped.
I Moved Into Solar
The solar industry opened the door to commission-based sales. That meant no limits. I was chasing cold leads, working warm leads when they came through, and closing hot on deals that could change someone’s monthly bill and change my bank account.
But here’s the hard truth about solar: the back end. Deals dragged. Installations took forever. Clients got impatient, commissions took months to land, and I felt stuck in limbo.
I loved closing — but I didn’t love waiting.
Then Came Roofing
Roofing looked like the golden ticket. Everyone was talking about $10k+ months, about commissions that could set you free. And in some ways, it was true. But roofing came with its own cost:
Buying my own equipment.
Driving my own car to chase leads.
Knocking doors in the heat.
Signing contracts just to survive.
The commission was great when it landed, but it was a grind. And on months when the deals didn’t close? It meant zero.
That’s when it hit me: I wasn’t chasing financial freedom anymore — I was chasing survival.
Why I Chose Coaching
I realized something crucial: I loved commission. I loved the chase. I loved creating my own income. But I didn’t want to do it in 100-degree heat. And I didn’t want to spend my life building someone else’s business while burning out in mine.
That’s when I turned inward.
I had spent years testing myself in retail, solar, and roofing. I had experienced every kind of lead: cold, warm, hot. I had seen how industries treat their sales reps. And I knew women like me were hungry for something better.
So I created it.
Ground Zero Academy
Ground Zero Academy was born from my journey — from standing on retail floors, to knocking solar doors, to climbing roofing ladders. I took all the lessons I learned and built a program that changes the way women step into high ticket sales.
No heat.
No waiting months for backend payouts.
No working for someone else’s empire
Instead, Ground Zero Academy is about clarity, confidence, and coaching. It’s about showing women that you can own your sales career, you can build legacy, and you don’t have to grind yourself to the ground to do it.
Why This Matters
I built this academy for the women who:
Want the thrill of closing without the burnout.
Want commissions that match their skills, not their hours.
Want mentorship from someone who’s lived the grind — and built a way out.
Ground Zero Academy is more than training. It’s proof that you don’t need to play small, and you don’t need to settle.
Call to Action: Join Cohort Zero
Cohort Zero is open now, and it’s capped at 100 women ready to take the leap. This isn’t theory. This is mentorship from someone who has lived every side of sales and built a playbook that delivers.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, overworked, or undervalued in sales — I built this for you.
